FANUC Servo Motor Encoder Replacement Procedure

This video outlines the replacement procedure and key precautions for FANUC servo motor encoders. The core steps are as follows:
1. Pre-replacement Preparation
Confirm the reference point: Record the current machine reference point position before powering off to avoid difficulties during subsequent commissioning.
Tool requirements: Use a straight-shaft screwdriver to remove the mounting screws; do not use ball-end tools, as they may slip and damage the screws.
2. Removal Steps
Disconnect the encoder feedback cable, noting the wire sequence and connector orientation.
Remove the four mounting screws and gently pull out the encoder.
Inspect the black coupling (connecting the motor and encoder) and the motor overheat detection signal contacts to ensure there is no damage.
