How to Troubleshoot Alarm 11 on a GSK GS2000 Servo Drive？



An "Alarm 11" is triggered when the machine's X-axis moves (it does not occur immediately upon power-up). Maintenance personnel consulted the manual to identify the issue.

Since the alarm does not appear at power-up, the focus shifted away from an internal drive failure toward potential issues with external connections.

The machine returned to normal operation after the motor cable was replaced. To save time, the new cable was temporarily secured in place rather than being fully routed through the cable tracks.

The root cause was a faulty or poorly connected motor cable; replacing the cable resolved the issue.

On a GSK GS2000 servo drive, "Alarm 11" typically indicates an issue with the encoder signal (such as poor wiring, a damaged cable, a faulty encoder, or a drive malfunction). The approach demonstrated—prioritizing simpler checks before moving on to more complex ones—is an efficient method for troubleshooting and resolving issues on-site.
